Who we are
NotiFence is an Android application provided by NovaCoreLabs. In this policy, “NotiFence,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to NovaCoreLabs in connection with the NotiFence application.
What NotiFence processes
When you grant Android Notification Access, NotiFence can inspect incoming notifications so it can evaluate the rules you create. Depending on your rule, this may include:
- the app package and app label;
- notification title and body text;
- notification channel and category;
- Android's conversation classification, when supported; and
- whether a notification is ongoing, a call, an alarm or otherwise protected.
Notification title and body text are processed transiently in memory for rule evaluation. They are not written to NotiFence Activity history, configuration backups or NovaCoreLabs servers.
Information stored on your device
NotiFence stores the information needed to provide its features locally on your device:
- Rules and profiles: app selections, conditions, actions, schedules, cooldowns and profile settings.
- Activity metadata: app, rule, action, outcome and timing information. Notification title and body text are excluded. Activity is limited to the most recent 500 records.
- Runtime state: local cooldown information used to prevent repeated actions.
- Preferences: settings such as your chosen appearance.
- Pro status cache: a local indication of your verified Google Play ownership state.
How information is used
Information processed by NotiFence is used only to evaluate notification rules, perform the action you selected, show local activity and service health, suggest previously observed metadata in the rule editor, manage cooldowns and restore your configuration or purchase status when requested.
Data transmission and sharing
NotiFence does not operate a NovaCoreLabs backend for notification processing. Your notification content, rules and Activity history are not sent to NovaCoreLabs.
Information can leave your device only in these limited situations:
- Google Play Billing: Google Play processes product, offer and purchase ownership information when you view, buy or restore NotiFence Pro.
- Android backup or device transfer: when enabled in Android, the platform may back up rules, profiles and appearance preferences using the backup service associated with your device or account. Activity history, runtime cooldown state and the local entitlement cache are excluded.
- Manual backup: when you explicitly export or share a
.notifencefile, it is sent only to the storage provider, app or person you choose. The file contains configuration, not notification content or Activity history. - Support: if you choose to contact support, your mail app receives a draft containing the app version and Android version. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it.
Permissions
- Notification Access is required to evaluate and act on notifications.
- Receive boot completed helps Android restore the notification listener connection after a restart.
- Internet and network state are included for the Google Play Billing library. The notification rule engine does not provide an independent network feature.
You can revoke Notification Access at any time in Android settings. Doing so prevents NotiFence from evaluating new notifications.
Purchases
NotiFence offers an optional lifetime Pro purchase through Google Play. Google controls payment and purchase ownership records. NotiFence stores only a local entitlement cache and does not receive your full payment-card details. Deleting local app data does not cancel or refund a purchase; a valid purchase can be recovered with Restore Purchases.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your device until it is removed by you, trimmed by an app limit, cleared by Android or removed when the app is uninstalled, subject to Android backup behavior.
The Delete all local data control removes rules, profiles, Activity, cooldown state, appearance preferences, observed metadata, the local Pro cache and private temporary backup-share files. It does not revoke Android Notification Access, cancel a Google Play purchase, delete backup documents you exported elsewhere or guarantee removal of older platform-managed backup copies.
Advertising and analytics
NotiFence contains no advertising SDK and no first-party analytics or crash-reporting integration. We do not sell your personal information.
Security
NotiFence minimizes data collection and keeps its core rule processing on-device. Manual backup files are not encrypted, so you should store and share them with the same care you use for other personal configuration files.
Children's privacy
NotiFence is a general productivity utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a NovaCoreLabs backend.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the application, legal requirements or third-party services change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
